


Producer- A producer is a plant that herbivores or other plant eaters eat; it could be above land, or under the sea. It gets energy from the sun. Producers could be fruits, vegetables, flowers, seaweed(under the sea), and many other plants. Some producers are poisonous to certain types of animals, while other herbivores are able to eat them.
Primary Consumer- A primary consumer is a herbivore that eats plants. Some primary
consumers are horses, meerkats, gorillas, elephants, and deer. Primary consumers could also be fish that eat seaweed and other plants under the sea.
Secondary Consumer- A secondary consumer is a carnivore that eats primary consumers. Some secondary consumers are the cat family, wolves, snakes, etc. Whales are also carnivores under the sea.
Decomposer- A decomposer is an organism that eats dead things which can give nutrients to producers. Two examples of decomposers are mushrooms and fungi.
Scavenger- A scavenger is an animal that would eat almost anything. Scavengers mostly eat dead things, or decaying things. A couple of examples are pigs and hyenas.
